Thanks, I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures, did a search on this site but nothing found
Re: New Owner
Congrats on the new plane!
My yokes are secured with AN4 bolts, an approved alternative to the original rivet. Should be a simple log book entry by your A&P.
An AN24 clevis bolt would be just as good and have a cleaner look.

The following links will take you into our library. There is no official list for the 170 specifically. The Owners Manual has a list and perhaps the 100 series service manual '62 and prior will have one.

Thanks Bagarre, I'll go with the AN 24 clevis bolt, I think I need permission from the moderator to post pictures
Re: New Owner
Welcome to the association, John. Hope you new ride treats you and your family well.
Aside from guessing at the secret handshake, posting pictures is probably the hardest feat new members are faced with. Then again new members are sometimes subjected to the constant nagging of some within the club to participate in a club convention. Personally I believe the practice borders on outright ill timed coercion especially seeing as you just joined and the convention is in 3 weeks time.
So can you come?

Looks like you've got a pretty capable airplane! This has always been a favorite YouTube video of mine.

That landing video from Alaska is not too shabby for an A model either!

Hi John,
Let me add my welcome to the 170 Association!
If you happen to see a Cessna 310J around Seminole, N3110L, pat her on the nose and say "hi" for me.

Ah N3110L my favorite 310! My first 500hrs twin time where in her, we overhauled the 300hp io-520s and added a garmin stack, 192KTAS ON 27gph! Belongs to my hanger nabor now, was she yours in the past?
