Anyone got a diagram showing what it takes to build a tailwheel towbar, or a taildragger dragger? I'm thinking it can't be all that tough. But I haven't found anyone local who has one that I can copy.

Control yoke rods
The control yoke rods on my 170 have some rust and I don't like their appearance. Anyone done any work on them to clean them up? What steps have owners taken to make these look nice and shiny? Will I damage any seals if I try using navel jelly or steel wool and a bit of fine oil? Is it a major job t...

Thanks guys. Already a 170 club member and have used this site extensively. It's great. Velvet sent a list of places to buy manuals. That will be good. And I've printed off the owners manual for the 56 model under the members section. How about all the hanger necessities too? Ladder, wax, cleaning s...

List of new owner's operating essentials

Prebuy knowledge
I learned how to fly in my Dad's 48 170. Now have the bug to buy a 170. Besides a good pre-buy and joining the Association, what words of encouragement are you willing to share? What should I be especially aware of or shy away from? Where's the best place to learn more about this topic?
