Sitting at a Red Light

Today I found myself sitting at a Left turn Red Arrow dutifully waiting for it turn Green. I waited and I waited. I looked up and down the street and saw no cars coming from either direction, yet the left turn arrow remained Red. Sitting there waiting on that Red light, knowing we were swearing a new President of the United States today, I began to consider what it meant to be an American and the historical heros of our Democracy. I reviewed the obstacles, many in the form of rules, they chose to ignore and overcome and as a result move us all forward to a better way. After considering what it really meant to be an American I turned left on that G$% D#$% Red light and felt a wave of liberation rush through me.

We the people, whom are the government, elect our representatives in a democratic fashion and then those reps are to govern the republic.
The word "Democracy" has been inappropriately used for several decades. A true democracy is were the majority vote rules, and in our present state, that is SCARY.

I realize it may be difficult for some of you to turn left.... but relax.... it'll become easier with time and the realization that it's the friendlier thing to do.

Is that because we will all get share the wealth? Except for the politicians who only share other peoples wealth!

I believe it is "..and TO the republic, for which it stands.." if one is referring to this country's Pledge of Allegiance. Just trying to be helpful; not "throwing darts"...

My mistake. Sometimes my brain gets ahead of my fingers, or maybe it's the other way around.

Del, I went to Mena last saturday, ate at the Butcher Block, and bought a car from my buddy Ron at Mena Auto Sales. Figured you'd be off on saturday, but we'll be making more trips by plane, to get more cars. Too many people in my family driving now.

Hey Dave,
Yeh, I was at home Saturday. Tilling the garden under, planting trees, and burning brush. Started a good one, then the wind picked up, wife got scared and called the rural fire department. I got lungs full of smoke, a singed beard and mustache and some very sore muscles in the attempt to keep it off of National Forest land. I had to jump in the creek at one point. Very exciting.
The red light there at Ron's is the only one I go through every day coming to work. It is also the only one rigged to give Hwy 71 the green from 7pm to 6am. And the magnetic trigger doesn't work well, so when I come to work I usually always run the light.

My brain is always just ahead of my fingers - - Just about the time I think I am going to capture it, it squirts away like a bubble of mercury!!!!!!!!!!
