need parts, please help

Post by sanships »

Looking at the parts catalogue and trying to get quotes, the following proved to be hard to get replies on. Maybe there is an updated part no. or replacement that you guys can recommend. I checked with:

preferred air parts
aircraft spruce
cessnaparts.com

Maybe you can recommend other suppliers?

NAS228-7 screw(attach fuel tank cover)
PK76XZ-8-10 screws(attach fuel tank adapter)
0523606-4 wing seal strut lower
AN365-624C nuts(lowerattach to axle)
AN365-524C nuts(upper attach to axle)
AN822-6B elbow
0511199-6 gasket
An365-720 nut

Thanks for the assistance.

Dang it!!! I just researched all this and had typed a response, then visited another site to get a name for you and all my work disappeared. grrrrrr

Oh well

OK, here goes again:
For the screws, nuts, etc. try contacting Genuine Aircraft Hardware at:
http://www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com/
Those NAS228 screws might be substituted by MS27039C in the proper length, and are also available from Spruce. (See their catalog) Some owners also recommned AN525 washer head screws in that application. Shouldn't be a problem.)

The AN365-624C and -524C nuts (the C stands for stainless or anti-corrosion) may be substituted with standard AN365-624 and -524 nuts, if you can't find them.
The AN365-720 nuts are also standard hardware, available from Spruce and Genuine Aircraft Hardware.

For the strut seal, the part number is superceded to: R761483 SEAL
(List Price: $ 2.14/ft) Stock Available Your price: $ 1.82 (FT)

...and the gascolator genuine Cessna part: Try Hill Aircraft at: http://www.cessnaparts.com/ and emailing Robert McAfee directly there to obtain the replacement gascolator superceded part number. robertm@hillaircraft.com

Another good source for rubber parts like seals, gaskets, gascolator seals, is http://www.brownaircraft.com
http://www.sacskyranch.com also advertises gascolator seals. (you could also simply make your own out of rubberized cork gasket sheet material.)
The AN822-6B...perhaps a typo? ... did you actually mean AN822-6D? which is available from Spruce? It's a simple aluminum elbow.

The names I was looking for earlier, were of two Phillipine clients I had last night in the Hawker simulator. They are here to obtain type ratings and will be flying a Hawker 800 out of the Phillipines to/from Europe. During our visits I mentioned you to them, and they were anxious to make your acquaintance. Perhaps the aviation world in the Phillipines is small and you might know them, Johnny Gulla and Antonio Rosales. Very cordial fellows.
Hope the info helps.
