engine baffling

hello does anyone know where to locate replacement padding for engine baffle on a 1949 170a ? thank you rob loomis

just looked at the first quater 2006 170 news, look at http://www.enginebaffles.com first since they spend money with our club,

Rob, are you referring to the "P" strip type seal? (Fig 38, item 72, "rub strip"?) Or the felt webbing. For the rub strip, contact Brown Aircraft Supply and ask them to send you a sample of their item BA-28-1 and another of their VC-150. I'll bet you'll like one of those. For a better-than-felt replacement, ask them for a sample of their T-95182 Engine baffle, and use a "dash" number to designate the width. ie, T-95182-3 is 3inches wide X 9 ft.. It's avail. in red or blue textured silicone-type seal.

On the subject of seals, I need to replace the rub strips around air scoop and air filter on a '54. Figure 48 #'s 22 and 23. Part #'s 0450243-13 and 0450243-14. Any suggestions as to what is best?
