'48 Bent Landing gear
Is there a "shim" available for the '48 landing gear to correct misaligned axles? Gary Granfors
Misaligned axles? Do you mean to correct for wheel alignment? (Ans: yes. See the 100 Series Service Manual, or search the topic here in the forums.)
To correct a bent landing gear? No.
To correct a bent landing gear? No.

48 Bent Landing Gear
gahorn,
Where can I obtain a copy of the 100 series service manual? Actually, I need a service manual appropriate for my 52 C170B. Does the service manual contain a description of the Cleveland brake system, parts, etc.? I also need to locate the O300 overhaul manual and parts manuals.
Thanks

The overhaul manual for the C-145/O-300 is available from Univair, Spruce, and McCurtain Technologies (in CD format).
The Service Manual is available from Cessna (if you want the most recent revision) or from Univair or Spruce if you want the one applicable only to 1962 and Prior models (but it will not address the Cleveland brakes, and will only barely mention the 170 in the landing gear alignment section.) If you want service info for the Cleveland brakes, you should contact them for their free pamphlet. http://www.parker.com/ag/wbd (has a pull-down menu under "Literature" which contains a maintenance manual in pdf format) or email: techhelp@parker.com
