I replaced the skin on my pilot side door and I don't recall that it was spot welded anywhere. Some difficult rivets in the upper hinge area but not real bad. As mentioned the light construction should lend itself to tweaking.

I have tried tweaking the door itself and I get a horrible wrinkle in the door skin so with out re-skinning that is probably out. A friend suggested we drill out a few (several) rivets and tweak and re-rivet but we cold only do that if we egg out the rivet holes which I don't want to do.
