apollo flybuddy loran

howdy, my first post on the lounge. Had flybuddy repaired free by Capital Instruments in Manassas, Va [HEF] Had blown internal fuse. Got new data card from GARMIN AT INC 5035818101 for 175 bucks. Be sure to return old card in return envelope provided. I wonder when the internal battery will die?

Internal batteries are usually Lithium, and specs for their life is generally ten years, but I've had several going on 15 years and working just fine. Units on the shelf (inactive units) will not last as long because ship's source will not be available to recharge/reactivate them on some units.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
