I hope this "Overgrown 170" 180 is still welcome at Petit Jean as I feel I have been at the five 170 conventions we have attended. If ya'll could get into the members only part of the 180/185 forum you would see that I commented in favor of allowing converted 182's into the 180/185 Club. Even at "official" 180/185 events there is usually someone that shows up in something other than a 180/185. Before I got my 180 I had heard that the 180/185 members were a snobbish group but since joining I have not seen any sign of this. I hope 170 Club members don't start treating 180 owners like somone said the warbird owners treat the L warbird owners.

Harold Holiman,
Get in touch with Skip Doty up in No, Carolina from the 180 club and make the annual 180/185 fly in at Johnson Creek, ID this year. It's a real bang! You'll have a great time.

Harold, you know you're one of us!
If you couldn't come, we'd have to consider cancelling the Petit Jean 170!
You're a gentleman and a fine 170 member!

I doubt 180 owners feel any different about 170 owners, than we do about 140 owners!

A 180 bud has a saying that goes "There's two kinds of
pilots... The kind that owns a 180 and the kind that
wants one".

Bela, there's at least a third kind, the one who's owned a (or several) 180's and now enjoys his 170.

Not to disparage the 180 group, ...but we feel a LOT better* about 120/140 owners than I've seen the 180 group act about 170's (or any other aircraft, for that matter.)
* ANY lover of airplanes/flying, or anyone that loves the people who love airplanes/flying is one of US here at TIC170A! Our group includes and WELCOMES any and ALL members regardless of whether they own a 170, used to own a 170, once knew/married to/divorced from/slept with/slept around ON/ a 170 owner!
(Many of our members own other types, and some own none at all....they just love those that do! And that's what makes them one of us!)

[quote="zero.one.victor"]Dave, I'd rather have a woman pretending to be a man stalking me, than a man pretending to be a woman! (I think)
As for what state I'm in, I oughta change my official profile from "state of Washington to "state of confusion"
I had to laugh the other day, I was looking at the 180/185 forum. You have to join to log on to surf the posts. After filling out my profile, it told me I would be identified as zero-one-victor, "skywagon wanna-be". Excuse me?
