Should be here, unless you have an in, this will likely be the best spot you could ask for (we do have an in Thanks Dan and others from the EAA)

Jim:
It is on the other side of Waupun Rd (the diagonal) closer to Whittman Rd. It is a great location.
See you there,

Will there be a 170 maintenance forum at Airventure this year? I remember going to one in 2019.

I just saw on Facebook that there are shirts you can order and a dinner on Sunday night. Is this being put on by TIC170A? Anyone have a picture of the shirts?

I got an email from the Association that had details of the dinner and shirt. It had a picture of the shirt. It's a polo shirt with the TIC170A log on the arm and some text on the breast. I'll probably be at the dinner. My 170 is down for an engine swap but I'll be at the show Sun-Thurs to see the sights and crew for one of the airshow acts.

Doug, looking at the email it is from Association Headquarters using Constant Contact which the Association uses and is identified as being sent by Headquarters. Joe Smothers is a TIC170A member and his wife's name is Robin. All payments are being sent to Association accounts directly according to the email sent out.

I'm not involved and had no prior knowledge or inside info. I see no indication this is anybody other than the Association trying to create an experience worthy of the 75th Anniversary tied to the experience planned for Osh. If that was your question
CAUTION - My forum posts may be worth what you paid for them!

I'm glad that this is happening and excited for it since I have to miss the convention, but will be at Oshkosh. I am confused why some people got an email from the association and I didn't. I did register by emailing that I would be attending. Hopefully no one else was missed. Has any other information about the parking at Airventure been released yet? I think I'll just send Dave another email to make sure I'm on the list.

Hey everyone! Carl and I are coming to Airventure 2023 for the first time and we are excited! I sold my 170 baby back in March, so we are tent camping without the airplane sunshade. We have friends that are hardcore Airventure volunteers who are making room for us to camp near them at Homebuilt headquarters. You betcha we will plan to visit our 170 friends, though. I am planning to sign up for the Sunday evening dinner and order the 170 t-shirts. See you in a few weeks! - Sandy

Doug:
The email from the 170 Assoc and the group parking registration are not related.
You are on the Cessna 170 Vintage Reunion group parking list.
We have a mass quantity of 170s registered so please plan to arrive early. We have not stopped registration as we want as many 170s as possible for the 75th.
See you there,
Dan

Do any of you know if it is possible to fly into Oshkosh without ADSB out? I've read the NOTAM, but did not see mention of it. I haven't flown in there since before the 2020 mandate. Thanks in advance!

I'll take a shot at the ADS-B question. OSH is normally just a class D airport, so it should be "legal" to operate there without ADS-B during the rest of the year. I just did a text search of the 2023 AirVenture NOTAM for the letters 'ADS' and they do not appear in the entire document. So, if I were going to fly into AirVenture not equipped with ADS-B out, I'd probably take the extra precaution of calling the OSH tower using the phone number from the NOTAM under 'No Radio Arrival' and directly ask them for myself. I believe the answer you'll get is yes, it is permitted; but I'd suggest making the call as a CYA precaution
