I took the aileron off and found the bushing and bearings in bad condition where do I get Aileron bushings and new bearing and what is the part Number ? I would think this is a common problem, Is this something Cessna may have ? I don't have a book that far back. thanks for any help

I've been checking around and the bushing p/n 0422200-2 is pretty hard to find, I was hoping someone would have been down this road before.

I don't know why so many times we go on exhausting, fruitless searches ...when all we had to do was call the OEM (Cessna) to find a part. I know Cessna lists outrageous prices... but if you really need the part and can't find it... at least you know where you can get it.
You may be looking for the incorrect pn's.
The PN you listed (0422200-2) is for a "Rib assembly - hinge".
The bushing (sometimes referred to as a "bearing") is PN 0422215, and is available from Premier Aviation (a Cessna Distributor). I'd make my own before paying $300 for it, tho'.
And the bearing is a Torrington "B-78X".... and might be found at a large bearing house/distributor...(and sometimes Grainger if you know measurements)... but be prepared to measure with a caliper and provide exact measurements.

Good suggestion, Gary. McFarlane is always a good resource. Thanks.
