Aerocet 2200 Floats for the 170

Post by marathonrunner »

I have been getting several calls from individuals with 170's that want to put them on Aerocet 2200 floats. I hold the STC but do not manufacture the floats or parts. Aerocet manufactures the parts. Presently I have a total of 3 individuals that want to pay the price Aerocet is asking to put their aircraft on floats. Aerocet originally wanted at least 8 orders to make it worthwhile to tool up to make all the parts. Presently, if I can get 4 confirmed orders I have another way to get parts made. There will be parts sitting on the shelf but, it won't be a lot of out of pocket cash sitting there.

I believe the last time I spoke with Matt at Aerocet the price for floats and complete kit was 31,000.00. Basically the same as a Cub kit but it would include the dorsal.

If anyone seriously wants to get their aircraft on Aerocet 2200's contact me and I will then forward the information to Aerocet.
It's not done till it's overdone

What is the wait time between you getting the orders and delivering the parts? Thanks, Ron
