Im going the route of putting a center stack panel in my 170, I can't find many pictures and I'm trying to come up with a good design so if you have any photos of your center stack panel could you please post them here? Thanks :D

Hello,

That is a not insignificant undertaking as You will need to convert the "T" yoke to a "U" yoke (you probably already know that). Avion Research in CA sells a superb STC to do this. I too am interested in doing this at some point in the future.

Del air has an stc for 2,713, much more affordable, and has been much more pleasant to deal with than avion. According to Avion, they no longer offer a complete center stack mod for the 170.

If you're going to install a later model "U"yoke to replace the "T" yoke, make sure the new yoke has the same length from the pivot point bolt hole to the bottom cable connecting bolt hole. I had to alter the one I used. If there is a difference, it will change the control throw. I think it probably concerns the Cessna model yoke used as a replacement. I had to shorten the throw on the one I had.

Yes, not all U yokes are the same. I bought one from a guy here and the yoke shafts are quite a bit farther apart. No bueno por cheet
Now I am curious what U yoke would work.
And who makes the best AC unit. :)

Here is an Avion panel installation on a '52B. Note there is also a fuel gauge for the aux tank forward of the flap handle.
