Texas Hill Country flying

Post by Curtis Brown »

I have been flying into Smithville (84R) a few times the summer. I have been here the week and have taking Redbird up the dollar gas promotion a couple of times. I have been flying around a little but hope to find some more interesting location that perhaps are owned privately by 170 members. Maybe some turf strips near rivers and lakes. If anyone wants to get out flying around here while the gas is a dollar...I am looking to meet people of go to new places.
That's right I'm not from Texas ... but Texas wants me anyway.

I'm currently in China otherwise I would take up up on that offer, we have a spot over by Pipe Creek. Yes there are alot of neat places to fly in the Hill Country.
As I understand they are going to shut off the dollar a gallon gas soon........can't keep up......sold too much.
