Steve, being also a new Ragwing owner, pilot and learning tailwheel. I have been finding that at full flaps on final the airplane seems to settle in nice at 70 to 75 mph and about 65 mph when I start to flare. for short field I am shooting for 60 mph at the flare and 70 on final. Whats really cool that I notice is the transition on final when im a little fast say 80 85 mph the ship wants to keep going as soon as I get below 80 mph it's like a elevator, and yes I to will have the trim full nose up to relive the weight of the yoke a little but it was still heavy. I'm doing the annual now and I found that i am missing 10 deg of nose up trim so I will see next time I fly how much I gained after the rig.
