Remember, only TIC170A Members may advertise... (and it should be done in the TradeMart section.)

Ron Welcome to the forum. Please don't take offense to gahorns comments he is really a very helpful fellow but he is in charge of enforcing the rules of the forum which you accidentally violated on your first post. Our organization tries to be helpful and permits non members to view and even make posts on the forum. I am very glad that we have that policy as it allows other aviation types to view and participate in our forum occasionally with out having the cost of dues. In your case I can not believe that if you are restoring a ragwing the cost of dues will not repay you many times over including solving your immediate concern. I realize that the $45.00 dues are a little more than some type clubs but I think if you join up you will find that we actally have a better value than most. Could you tell us more about your project? Again welcome. Bill K

No problem Ron. I've emailed and PM'd you how to get up to speed.

Welcome, wish I could help with the gas tank.

Ron, I'm not familiar with the C-170 tank but by the IPC drawing it appears that the flange assy. is part of the tank. Is it welded on? The p/n for the tank is 0522612. As you can see in the illustration below there is no separate p/n for the flange. I thought maybe the C-120/140 guys might be able to help you find a part but it appears that their tank (p/n 0422122-4) doesn't have a flange like yours. (Google that p/n and you'll find a C-140 tank for sale in England for $588.)

Ron Shoot me a PM and I might be able to help I have a spare tank. For the information of others the tanks in ragwings have a 140 body but have 195 filler necks and caps. The tanks are weldable so you can make a 140 tank into a 170. Bill K
