Ann,

We made it home, thanks for your hospitality at Wiscasset. Beautiful little airport and I always like to see so many taildraggers!

The stats:

2600 NM
24.8 hours of flying
11 States and 1 foreign country (Canada, not Texas this time)

High points of the trip? Maine, Pennsylvania, and Niagara Falls, and of course, just flyin over all the pretty country.

The 170 never hiccuped, but there were a couple times when I would like to have had another 50 or 60HP.

Thanks again for all who gave sugguestions. Weather kept us from going through New York, or making it to Sentimental Journey.

Maybe next time!

Glad to hear you had a good trip, Steve! Anytime you are out here again, stop by!

I think all of us could use extra horsepower from time to time. :D

...and all that extra 50 or 60 hp would have cost you would have been $20,000 to $30,000, four weeks of down time, and $250 more for fuel on that trip! ( and you'd have had to stop more often for lack of range.) :?
