I am new to this group but thought this might be of interest. Also, I am not sure if this is the proper forum so please bear with me.
A friend of mine has been looking to re-power a 172 and found out that PZL was bought (or maybe it's in the works) by Pratt & Whitney. The recip engine division is supposed to be sold to ECI. Does anyone have any info about this? My 170A has a high time engine and I was looking at the Franklin 220 as a possibility in the future. Maybe ECI will continue production?
