Skycatch installation

Post by Bryce »

Hi
The spring fastener riveted to the door frame has broken so the pilots door will no longer stay open.I have researched solutions mentioned on this forum and found skycatch door catches at http://www.buyplaneparts.com
Is the installation easy and do they just bolt to the top of the door and the existing underwing dogleg shaped stay ?
Thanks
Bryce

Johnny Williams in San Angelo, Tx. has what you need. He advertises in the 170 Qtr mag.

Depending upon what model you have, it's likely a simple Tinnerman catch, which Johnny will sell you very inexpensively. (He also has the spigots for the Hatchlatch, which I recommend.)

From previous forum searches I had picked up on Johny Williams but as I am based in the UK and couldn't find a web address or contact details I located the skycatch as an easier supply option.
Do you have contact details for me to try ?
