C-170 A&P near Indy?

Post by Iceman07 »

So, I am being very tempted by a C-170A in the Indianapolis area (Greenfield, specifically) but I love in the Northeast.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an A&P for a pre-purchase inspection?

TIA
Rich

OBTW - I have been looking at C-170's for a few years now, and have belonged to TIC170A, but have let my membership expire. I plan on re-uping soon. This will be my first airplane, so I will need all the help I can get.

I had my prepurchase (an annual) done by the guys at Air Marion (KMZZ) ... I don't know that they have lots of 170 specific info, but I have been doing my annuals (owner assisted) there for several years and am very happy.

Call Andy Darlington (manager - 765-674-7777, adarlington_at_airmarion.com , or http://www.airmarion.com). You can tell him I recommended them if you'd like.

Randall Buck, Michael Lewis, and Joseph Neff are all Members who live in Indianapolis and doubtless have suggestions. (Your renewed membership will have a Directory in your hands Pronto! Heh-heh.)
There are also about 40 TIC170A members living all over Indiana that could prove helpful to you.

Can I access the directory online? I have a hard copy but it is MIA ... I know none of those guys are at my home airport (KUMP) but was wondering what Indy airports they're based at...
