wheel fairing backing plates?

Post by jetguy »

Well, I've pretty much accepted that I'll have to fabricate new mounting plates for my just acquired oh-so-beautiful highly polished pristine aluminum wheel pants...does a pattern exist or are the dimensions available? Can they still be got new? How thick is the material? Is it 2024-T3 or some exotic? Anybody have a pair they don't need? Any guidence would, of course, be greatly appreciated!

The backing plates ( p/n 0441143-8 ) are still available new. Quick price checks of Hill & Premier showed Hill Aircraft (cessnaparts.com) with the better price @ $144.80/ea (list price $181.00). You might also check Yingling or other supply houses.
