SHOPS IN FAIRBANKS

Post by buchanan »

I’d appreciate any advice on IA’s and shops in Fairbanks. I have a PA-18 (for sale) and also a C-170/180. We are taking the 170 to Galena. I’d like a recommendation of a shop who allows customer assisted annuals and can mount floats. I don’t care too much if it is at Chena Marina or Int’l.

Thanks, Buck

Buck,

You might try emailing Jim O'Neill at: northstar.aero@acalaska.net.

He is a retired United Airlines Maintenance Supervisor, an A&P, IA and maybe a CFI. Can't remember for sure, but think his facility is just south of Fairbanks on a private strip with a pond for floatplanes. I do know he is a good guy. Sorry, I don't have a telephone number.
Regards,
Chuck

Thanks Chuck,

I met him briefly last summer at Chena Marina through an engine deal. I was favorably impressed then. I'll try sending him an email.

Best....................Buck
