Need STC for Mesa STOL kit and AvCOM 180hp engine. Paperwork was lost at some time- both mods have been on plane for 20 something years.
Please email if you can help on this

I just took a look at the list of 170 STC's in the back of The 170 Book edition 4. Closest thing I could find was STC # SA1474SW for "installation of "MASA" 1223000-7 & -8 wingtips. Reissued 9-5-79". STC holder is listed as (oh,no!) Bob & Barbara Williams Box 431, 213 North Clark Udall KS 67146.
I've never done any business with the Williams, but from what I hear, neither has anybody else in recent years, and it's not for lack of trying! They are listed as holding several other STC's for leading edge cuffs & other STOL stuff, no brand names given. There are several different addresses shown for them, all in the same town.
They are also listed as holding STC's # SA421CE, #SA749CE, & #SA806CE which are all for Lycoming O-360 engines &/or prop. I have heard that they hold the Avcon STC now.
Good luck getting anything out of them. But maybe one of our members can help out with copies of their paperwork.

Jim, our bird has this STOL kit. Why don't you PM me with your address info and I'll send you a copy of my paperwork.
