The shunt is part of the ammeter. When I upgraded to a Jasco 50-amp alternator in 1990, I replaced the ammeter with a +/- 60-amp unit.RKair wrote:… I cannot tell from POH schematic where the Amp meter shunt is located. (Internal?) 1952 B with C-145.

One may want to investigate the possibility of a conflict of space, if an oil filter adapter is to be installed.
