Gascolator

Post by marktoula1 »

Can anyone recommend a replacement gascolator for a 48 170? I have 2 of the originals and both have damage. I saw the Steve’s but nothing seems to be approved for a 170. The have the A and B’s covered

Thank you

You might try calling Steve's as basically your same gascolator is used on the C-120/140 and he holds an STC to replace that gascolator on the 120/140.

What's damaged on your gascolator? Google AA4507R to find the glass bowl for under $10. The gasket is NAPA p/n 730-9509.

The K2201B fuel strainer body can be bought here.
The entire K2200B gascolator assembly is available from BAS here or on fleabay where it's mislabeled here.
Smokin' Rivets Airparts and Salvage has "an extensive collection of Cessna 120/140 series parts" if you'd rather not deal with getting approval to use non-PMA'ed parts.

Thanks, mine is intact but I having issues getting the strainer out to clean everything. I can send a picture of what I’m trying to get loose if you have any ideas.

Since the first pictures you saw a lot has changed plus I just acquired another complete plane less landing gear legs. Both are 48,s and I have a few A model parts now as well. This is turning out to be great therapy for me
