AOPA FLY IN KTHA

Post by 170C »

As many of you are probably aware, AOPA's final 2019 flyin will be September 13 & 14 at Tullahoma, TN (KTHA). This is the second time AOPA has held their flyin at Tullahoma. First one was in 2015 and was successful despite the rain. It was interesting/enjoyable. This years event has been moved up from October to September as the weather is likely to be much better. By all accounts if the weather is good it may be the largest attended one of the year.
This would be a good opportunity for 170 members to gather and enjoy the events together. There are a lot of members within a 250 mile radius of Tullahoma and quite a few flyouts planned. If you can, come on over to TN and lets see how many 170's we can get here.

My nephew Paul Brown will be one of the STOL demo pilots in his blue/white 1957 P-Ponk 180. He is an A-10 pilot (4 deployments to the desert) and United Airlines 737 pilot in his day jobs. He flew to Alaska with me and his dad in a PA-12 when he was 8, has been "ate-up" with flying ever since. If you go, be sure and introduce yourselves to Paul he is a great guy and loves to talk airplanes.
