Re: The trip (2015)
We truly miss everyone, Gary, we will meet next year whether I fly there or drive, but we will be there.
Meeting the insurance man tomorrow. Cost me $4136.99 U.S. Just to get her home. Biggest shock so far, the prop is a mere $13656.00 U.S. ; that's will almost be a billion Canadian dollars in a short while

Yikes! How far from home were you when you had your incident? I suppose you had to pay a mechanic to help you disassemble the airplane?c170b53 wrote:We truly miss everyone, Gary, we will meet next year whether I fly there or drive, but we will be there.

Now would be a great time to put a 3-blade MT prop on. John Nielsen from Flight Resource just got the STC approved.

KEAR landing runway 36 halfway there to Gulf shores. I think we had did about 11 hours and had only 10 to go. I'll be flying that approach for a long time. I'm getting over it but I can't believe I didn't hit the gas and fly away from the problem.

Been awhile but I'm getting close to launching CFIHK again. Haven't swung the new prop yet, it's still in its wrapping from Hartzell. Awaiting new rudder horn, should arrive this week, then some gas for the run-up, it's fingers crossed.

Are you sure that plastic looking stuff isn't some new fangled prop performance enhancement their selling Canadians? Great to see her so close to flying again.
Remember to open the door a wee bit more before you push her out.

Beautiful picture Jim. Made me think of a butterfly, after a long wait, emerging from its chrysalis. Congratulations!

Looks like 2017 could be the the "Year of the 'New' 170s" at the convention this year.
