Arash,
Which model EI engine analyzer has the Cloaking option? I could use that feature when the Ramp Checker is around. :D

What's the link for those handles escutcheons?

I don't have any pics but I installed Rosen Visors and Door Stewards.

The Rosen's are nice but don't seem to go far enough forward. However, the optics are so good on them that you can use them as sunglasses!

Door Stewards: where have you been all my life?? The gas struts also have a progressive charge or an over center feel to them. When they are closed, they don't exert much force on the door hinges...very nice.

In other news, my TCM IO-360 motor mount is made, the exhaust is ready and they just split the case on the motor to replace the crank (prop strike). Talk about a winter project!

Bought a disassembled and clyinder-less C-145-2H engine core to either supplement my own whenever O/H time comes or perhaps O/H it separately over time and be ready to swap in the future. By the logbook it had a little over 2000hrs and never previously O/H'd when removed from service about 20yrs ago. Very happy to have a (seemingly) good spare 8-hole dampened crankshaft, though proper inspection/crack check is obviously still needed. Also like that I finally have the left-side lever doohickey to operate the 2-position prop that I'll never have instead of the plug on my current -2H. Originality for it's own sake

Also, earlier this year I bought a NOS nose bowl (upper and lower) to replace my current one, some day when I'm tired of looking at all the patches and cracks. It's the 60's era 172 nose required by my STC'd vacuum pump installation.

I bought/paid for and owner assisted annual inspection for 888A. No problems! Had to get a ferry permit to fly from my home apt to one 25 miles away where my IA could do the annual. It was also my first solo flight in almost 2 yrs. Sure felt good :D

Arash, the panel was done in 1994 (two owners ago) by an outfit called Aero Engravers of Camarillo, CA. They really did beautiful work. As far as I can tell, Aero Engravers no longer exist, which is too bad because I would have liked to have them make me a rev 2 of the panel. This one uses space very inefficiently and has no room for expansion. The only option I had to add a CDI was by using a 2 1/4" size and moving the compass up to the windscreen. We'll see how well I fly an ILS with that cute little CDI.

They also engraved various placards into the panel. Looks nice, but they misspelled a word! Note to engravers and tattoo artists: Fuel contamination is caused by CONTAMINANTS (noun), not CONTAMINATES (verb).

Bought a new tailwheel leaf spring set, eyebolt with steel locknut, correct tailwheel steering spring set, U bolt with nuts, leaf spring bushing and spacer.
Also ordered a little baffling piece that goes between the cylinders that was missing.
