Operations Manual for C 170

Post by MoonlightVFR »

I have a small 5 x7 Booklet that came with the 1954 C170B.
Can that be termed the Operations Manual for the C170?

Is that all there is to instructional documentation.

What about supplemental releases ?

Something seems vague.

Samples of a 1956 Owner’s Manual and an Airplane Flight Manual for a 170 are found in the members only section of this website.

The booklet you describe is likely the Owner’s Manual. For my 1953B, the Owners Manual is 79 pages and covers all aspects of operation and very basic maintenance. It’s nice to have but it’s not required to have an Owner’s Manual in the plane.

You are required to carry the approved 2 page Airplane Flight Manual in the plane. This document is specific to your airplane and you should have received a copy when you bought it. If not, download and print a copy, write in your N number, and put it in the plane with your other required documents.
