Door hinges

Post by ghostflyer »

There is a new lot of door hinges in Mc Farlanes catalogue. There suggested retail prices are very high [what the heck are they smoken] while the discounted prices are still over the top. But it’s another alternative if you are needy.

Don’t sweat the price, because those hinges are for the 172, not the 170. Wrong p/n. The door half might fit (?), but the fuselage half is the 172 tab type, not the 170 fold-under type.

My opinion only, but I don’t think the price ($455) is that bad considering they’re new, and McFarlane stuff is good. I hope they get around to making a hinge for the 170.

They requested (and received) info, pics and other details from me on the 170 hinges, so they are definitely contemplating making them.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
