John Goglia and Greg Feith, two former NTSB investegators, discuss at great length the Lion Air accident on their podcast "The Flight Safety Detectives". Start at episode 2. Pretty damning evidence against this airline.

Commerce took it's eye off the Ball.

Yes we had too much paper documentation.

Boeing main library 1980s - Key Boeing Librarian stated "I wish it could ALL disappear. He was just frustrated, his customers were ALL over the world using different systems. Share empathy with him.

It is simple - identify your "mission critical documents" preserve a few paper copies not in common office style ring binder. Educate yourself. Use a few Note cards

Boeing used to ship all manuals in good 3 ring/Angle D ring binders. This was economical but Wrong.
But a few special customers knew better. They separately ordered Crane SHP Advanced Hybrid NO FAIL binders.
Crane's SHP binders were at the hanger weeks before new 737 arrived. Switched out the Boeing binders for the SHP.

Famous client had a world tour in his new Personal 737. Arrived back at CA hanger on 09/10/01 - locked hanger at 7:15 PM.
The next day was 09/11/01!
To this day I get the shivers

Client was Roy Disney
