I posted from my iPad and the pics look right on it. I will look at it on the computer. Something strange is going on. Lol.

It is how you took the photos with your I-device. Orientation of the device when the photo is taken is stored in the photo info and read I-devices so the photo is shown correct. Not so in the computer.

On my iPad, the pictures look right, on my MacBook Pro laptop, two are upside down.

No matter what device you use to take the pictures, the edit function on that device should be able to turn them right side up.

Tried to tackle this before Richard. Rotate the image in a computer, it will be upside down in a IPad. :| Rotate it on a Ipad for the computer and it will by upside down on the IPad.

I know this is an old thread but just wanted to add running from a big hurricane!! We loaded up my wife, 2 boys, and I and evacuated from south FL to NC running from a huge hurricane. We left Friday and just flew back today. We missed a ton of traffic and avoided gas shortages that left many people stranded. We returned home safe and sound, with no damage to our house to speak of. Having the ability to fly out is a huge privilege and one I don't take lightly. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those on the west coast of FL and the victims of Harvey. Our 170 flew 2 long days, 5 and half hours each way without skipping a beat. This is just another reason we own a beautiful C 170.

Doesn't have to be a diatribe. Maybe 5 paragraphs.

Where you departed from, where you went? Why you thought about or and decided to take your airplane? I think it might have been my last thought to be honest. A picture or your family with the plane would be a nice touch (picture doesn't have to be from the actual trip).

LOL :D , I will try to write an article for the association in the future. Right now we are crazy busy cleaning up after the storm!!

Ryan I am from Denver NC, and learned to fly at Lake Norman Airpark back in the 90's when I was in high school. Lake Norman has been bought by an outfit that is turning turbine crop dusters into military aircraft and they don't have room for transient aircraft anymore. So long story short, we flew into Lincolnton, or Lincoln County, (IPJ). If your close by we should meet up the next time we come up to visit my parents!!

I know this is a old thread but I really love it. :D We loaded up the family and flew from Stuart Fl to Nashville TN for thanksgiving. The weather was Amazing, tail winds both ways! That never happens! Severe clear going and coming home. Our first leg was 4.5 hours non-stop to ATL to visit some friends for a few nights. We got a ride in my friends brand new to him Stearman. What a awesome airplane ride. We also got to go over ATL at 4500’. I have flown in and out of ATL for 18 years but still cool to fly over in our 170. After ATL 1.5 hour flight to Nashville. We had our only headwind of the trip but it was beautiful flying over the mountains (hills for the Western people) on our way to John Tune airport KJWN. After a few days celebrating with family it was time to go home. KJWN-X60 4.0 hours. X60 is just northwest of Ocala FL. Great airport with cheap fuel and a restaurant on the field. After topping off our plane and bellies another 1.5 hours to get home. President Trump was in town and my airport was under the TFR so I had to call FSS and file and activate a VFR flight plan to Be able to penetrate the TFR. We also were required to get flight following but we always do that on cross country flights anyway. After going through all that, Trump headed home and the TFR was canceled! I felt a little disappointed after doing all the extra work. Lol  Anyway, we had the longest one day trip in the 170 since buying her. I forgot to mention we have 175 wings if anyone is asking how we could fly 4.5 hours nonstop on that first leg. 5.5 hours in a 170 is a long day with 2 little ones but sure beats the 14 hour drive. Hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving.

Was EVERYONE wearing diapers? When I flew pipeline (aged 23) I could go 7 hour legs...but I'd never be able to use that much fuel endurance these days.
