Hey folks! Just about 100 statute miles south of the Newton KS convention, is Ponca City OK. This is where Piper Cubs were once manufactured and is home to the original Conoco oil company that is now ConocoPhillips. There is also a delicious Mexican restaurant at the KPNC airport called Enriques. About a mile or two down the road from the airport is where the 101 Wild West Rodeo is held. In 2019 the rodeo will begin Thursday, June 6 which is when lots of you will be in the area. Rodeo performance begins at 8:00pm Th/Fri/Sat. For more info see https://www.101wildwestrodeo.com/.

I really wished I could have gone to this year's convention because now only would I have seen all my 170 buddies, but it was near my home town. Instead my husband and I were in Philadelphia helping our daughter move to a new apartment.
