Karl and Nancy Towle, along with Dooley and Debra Rucker, would like to invite members and guests to a fly-in, April 13th, 2019 at the Bar VK Air Ranch (TX32: in north Texas. We're 10 miles north of the Denton airport, with 2900+ ft of nice turf runway.

Let's meet at Karl and Nancy's home by 11:00 am, to shuttle about 6 miles into Sanger for lunch at Babe's Chicken Dinner House, then rendezvous back at Bar VK for socializing after lunch.

We need to provide detailed maps for driving, flying in and parking. So, if you are going to try to come, please download the .PDF file here:
for the information you will need. Due to the possibility of a soggy runway, if we need to invoke our inclement weather plan, we will announce it in the "Runway NOTAM" at the link provided in the above file the day before our fly-in. Pray for sunny weather during the week prior, and we look forward to seeing everyone here.

Well, so far this morning (6 April), we've had thunderstorms and light to heavy rain. It looks like rescheduling our fly-in to the 13th was a lucky call. Unfortunately, the weather guessers are calling for scattered t-storms next weekend as well. Let's hope they're scattered elsewhere!

April 13th was another drive-in, rather than fly-in day for Texas members. Mother Nature did it to us again. No one has been able to fly to one of our monthly fly-ins in February, March and now April due to weather. We are hoping that trend will be broken for our fly-in in May, which will be to Uvalde.

We met at Babe's BBQ Chicken in Sanger, where we had a good meal and wonderful visit. As you can see in the first picture, Debra was recruiting one of the locals to become a member. We're not sure how that will turn out.

Those contributing to the good time were Paul & Debra Wood, Karl & Nancy Towle, Pete & Judi Coffey, Dooley Rucker, Tim West, Ken Peck, Naomi Goodlett and Bob Jolley.

As most will agree, if you can't fly it is always worth the drive to get to visit with members of the Cessna 170 family. Everyone is looking forward to the convention in Newton in June.
