Deming

Postby cessna170bdriver » Thu Jul 06, 2017 2:43 am

As of right now we're planning on leaving Bridgeport, TX (KBXP) Friday morning. It's about 5 hours flying time from here, but with monsoon season setting in in the Southwest, we may or may not make that in one day. Is there anyone else heading that way about then?

We are flying to Pecos, Tx tomorrow to do some business there on Friday. We will probably stay Friday night in Pecos and leave Sat. Morning for Deming, all weather dependent, of course. We will have a car in Pecos. If you guys stop there, we'll pick you up.

That plan sounds like it will work Richard. We plan on stopping in Midland for a short visit with an old friend from California, then it's less than an hour on to Pecos. We should be there by early afternoon. I'll text you with an ETA before we leave Bridgeport, then again when we leave Midland.

Sounds good. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Pecos and they are pretty full so it would be a good idea to reserve a room.

Jamie and grandson Chase and I are planning to leaving home early Sunday with a fuel stop in Midland area (7T7) and arriving DMN around 3 or 4 PM. (Being a RED 170 we don't feel the need for an extra two days.)

(This little bit of humor is really gonna back-fire if we have any kind of difficulty enroute...heh?)
