Just a reminder of our Cessna 170 group fly-in to Old Kingsbury Aerodrome for their spring fly-in April 14th. For those who have not been there, Kingsbury is the home of the Pioneer Flight Museum http://pioneerflightmuseum.org/index.shtml . Their website will explain their mission and fly-in better than I can, but the fly-ins are always a good time, with looking at their collection of flying aircraft as well as the airplanes that fly in for the event, as we will be doing. You may find several videos of their past fly-ins on Youtube if you wish. Their is always a good collection of antique and classic cars as well. Hamburgers and other food will be available there, being sold in support of the museum. A flyer for the fly-in is on the museum site. All information about the airfield is available on AirNav http://www.airnav.com/airport/85TE for those flying in and for those driving, the address is: 190 Pershing Ln, Kingsbury, TX 78638. Let's all hope for good weather on Saturday, April 14th, so everyone can have an enjoyable flight in. We will meet near the canopy where food is being sold at 11:00 am for a visit and pictures, then everyone can roam about and take in all there is to see. If you have questions or suggestions please contact Ken Peck at 512-468-7790 or c170ken@earthlink.net See ya there.

Unfortunately the wind prevented members and guests from flying into Kingsbury Saturday, including myself. Several airplanes did fly in without incident. The airstrip was in very good condition this year. We appreciated those who drove to the event. They included Bob Jolley, Wendell & Sheila Wyborny, Paul & Debra Wood and their Son Jody, Naomi Goodlett & Ken Peck. Several airplanes to look over, including a Thomas Morse that is being built from scratch. Also present were several very nice antique and classic autos, some owned by the museum at Kingsbury, and some driven in.
