I would be buying new from MC Farlanes. My step broke while I had some weight on it . It had corroded internally ,the out side of it looked great. So if you buy used how would you know it’s servicable .

The seller probably wouldn't like it but you could do a punch test.

The bottom broke off my step a couple of years ago. The weld broke with minimal corrosion inside so my IA rewelded it with a gusset.

Maybe the subject step could be repaired if the corrosion is not too bad?

Replaced my left step with a McFarlane and it's been awesome.......I think new is probably better in this case.

You can also buy the material from Spruce and fab one up.

Yrs ago I had a welder put a small gusset on both boarding steps. Those haven’t failed with numerous 250 # folks boarding on the passenger side. However, the passenger step failed when a friend boarded a year or so ago. A friend reinforce step above the actual part that your foot goes on. Later another 250+ # friend bent it again. This time my welder friend welded additional metal inside the hollow “leg”, and it has held up with no additional issues for over a year with those same friends boarding multiple times and you cannot see the repairs that were made.
