L-19 tow lugs on 180 gear legs

Post by learaviator »

I purchased a set of these for my 170 that has 180 gear legs. The lower bolts in my gear are -6 bolts and of course the lugs are drilled for -5 bolts. I am planning to drill the lugs out for the larger bolts. Or I could put them on the upper two bolts. Has anyone else been through this? Just trying not to re-invent the wheel LOL

Just happened to take this picture yesterday after landing at a friend’s grass runway.

Del Lehman at Mountain Airframe installed these L19 tow lugs last year.
