Superior Cylinders

Post by lowNslow »

I'm thinking going with a new set of Superior cylinders, my problem is that my current cylinders are the Continental "New" style with the Real Gasket type pushrod tubes. Does anyone know if the tubes can be re-used with the Superiors cylinder?

My A&P and I replaced one cylinder last year. Yes, the tubes can be re-used, but I'd recommend purchasing new seals. Contact Real Gaskets and speak to their engineer (I can't think of his name off the top of my head). He is super friendly and helpful.

I also highly recommend their spring compression tool.

Thanks. These are tubes that came with the cylinders from Continental like the ones used on their bigger engines, I don't know it they are the same as the Real Gaskets but they work the same way. I will replace the seals and I do have the compression tool.
