Aileron Bar Assembly independent aileron movement

Post by slimmorstad1 »

I'm having trouble hooking up my ailerons cables. Everything is hooked up and thought to be good, but then we tested and found that we can turn ailerons independent of each other by holding both yolks and turn one while holding the other yolk. Seems to be something wrong with our hook up of the item 3 figure 33 bar assembly.

Has anyone had that happen during riging up new cables?

Careful! Don’t break those egg yolks.

Sounds as if your yoke universals/sprockets may not be correctly bolted/connected?

Steve,
Sounds like you need to get an A&P to give you a hand. I suspect a missing bolt #8 or #12 or the universal joint, #14, has a sheared pin.
