Elevator horns

Post by ghostflyer »

A number of times I have caught some of my clothing on the elevator horns and due to the sharp edges catch your clothing . This where all the sheets of metal come to the point and join to make the end of the horn. So came up with the idea of using A4 Metal set [2 Pak epoxy resin] and molding it into the sheets where they join to make a smooth area. After the A4 goes off you can file and sand to shape . A quick splash of rattle can paint on it and it looks a million dollars.
No it didn’t affect my elevator balance , as a colleague of mine was convinced it would so I said “go do a balance check “ no difference what so ever.
