Glass Gascolator Bowl for 1948 170 Ragwing

Post by GAHorn »

The Kohler gascolator upside-down bowl for the straight 170 PN: K2214A has been reported to me (By fellow Member Gary Cummins) to be a Massey-Ferguson tractor part, PN: 72080237 and Allis Chalmers PN: 2080217LEL,. The MF part was obtained by Gary for $8 (Yes, Eight U.S. Dollars) from Mordt Tractor & Equipment, Troy, MO. PH: 636-528-8575.
Although I've been told Tractor Supply Co. also carries this I've never found it there.

This part fits the ragwing ONLY. The open-ended glass cylinder type, Cessna PN: 0511199-5 superceded to 60B095-002, Kohler PN: K2205A, for later 170A and B has not been found available at tractor stores. It is available from Cessnaparts.com (Hill Aircraft) retail price $550.00 discounted to us for $478.50.

(I have a spare "loaner" glass gascolator cylinder (for 170A/B airplanes) for anyone needing one, but will have to be returned to my "lending library" when a replacement is found.)

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
