Need Annual in Southern AZ

Post by Helios_AZ »

Hello All,

I searched the forum topics and could not find anywhere this would fit. If there is a better place please tell me and I will move it there.

My 170B is now out of annual and the AI seems to be "too busy" to get to it. Does anyone have a suggestion for another A&P/IA in southern AZ that could help. I am to the point now that I will have to get a ferry permit to move it to another place for the annual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Boy howdy Jay, when you say Southern Arizona, you really mean it! Nothing south of you but the fence.

My nephew flies a C-180 out of Ryan Field west of Tucson. I can ask him if he knows a 170 mechanic if you want to go that far.

Not much closer to you than Tucson, but there used to be a guy in Willcox who was rebuilding a 170. Not sure if he is/was an AI, or if he's even still there. Might be worth calling the airport there and asking around.
