I want to purchase 3/32 small dia rod about 12 inches long
Want to make a long skinny TOOL to encourage 60 year old cabin door hinge pins to GIVE up.
If I mess up these door hinges it will become an expensive sorrow.
Slightly heating parts and spraying tiny drops of Kroil solvent. Patiently
I want to fabricate a tool 9 - 10 inches long
Cannot locate small rod at Mennards or McMaster Carr.
Sourcing suggestions would be appreciated

I don't know what you have in mind for a tool about 10 inches long that would use a 3/32" rod to remove a hinge pin.
But if I was looking for a 3/32 rod it would be music wire or piano wire which is a hard wire of sizes from a hair to over a 1/4" It is sold at hobby shops that cater to RC airplanes but it has many uses and so if you had a really good hobby shop (which pretty much have all closed) you will find it. You might also find it at a very well stocked hardware store. KS metals is the distributor you find at hobby shops. You can also order it online. You will be buying a 3ft piece and depending on the size you might have to buy 2 or 3.
