Closer Look Flaps

Post by MoonlightVFR »

No particular complaint. C 170 B 54 sn 26433

Just want to take a closer look at flap assembly.
Over a decade ago a turnbuckle was replaced and a bushing freed up in left doorpost.

What should I be looking for in a closer inspection.

Do not want to be surprised with asymmetrical flap underemployment.

What problems have been noted?

See the following threads regarding flap actuating lever failures and problems. These are often overlooked and can be fatal:

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
