48 Left Outboard Aux Spar

Post by n3833v »

I am asking for a friend that needs this to repair a plane he bought and will become a member in the future. I am not sure how available this part is and I couldn't determine the part #. The plane ground looped and did some damage he is repairing as an A&P.
Contact me and I will get you together with him.
Thanks,
John

John,
Here's a shot from the '48 IPC (fig. 4) of the left wing tip.

The part number I think you are looking for is item 49 "Auxiliary Spar - Outboard Section - Left Wing" p/n 0422153-2. Google the part number and you will find KRN and Dodson list it. I find it interesting that Cessna at one time sold the entire wingtip assembly as p/n 0520002-18. That would be a rare find in some old barn!
