Tailwheel Assembly

Post by Joe Moilanen »

Decided to replace the tailwheel assembly and AN7 bolt on my 170B. It's been on there for thousands of hours, and I feel guilty if I don't spend some money on the bird once in a while

Looking at the AK Bushwheels, what's the difference between the ABI-3200 Standard Tailwheel Assembly (3214 Standard Arm) P/N 06-00836 and the ABI-3200-3 direct replacement for the 3200-3 P/N 06-01313 besides $400.00?

TIA,

Joe

I've wondered that myself. The picture on the web site shows that the -3 tailwheel has a two-bolt bracket. The page says it's a direct replacement for a Scott 3200, but with two bolt holes, I don't see how that's true or why you'd want it.

There is actually 2 models of Scott 3200 tailwheels. the ones with 2 holes fit the Piper Pawnee. The ABW tailwheel will work as I have one as a spare on the shelf. little thicker control arm but otherwise same design. DOug

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
