1950 0300 A Primer Jet

Post by 9976AJds »

During my overhaul I removed the Primer Jet and cleaned and attempted to check jet opening with a small needle. Interesting that I thought it maybe clogged after years of non-use or whatever. I discovered it is open and must have a "radial atomizing" arrangement, more complicated than a simple straight carb jet. I would love to see the cutaway of what seems like a simple insert into a standard brass reducer.

I am building with tin snips the "Texas" Baffles 4 each, I wish I could get some of the Presidents super units. Air Form charges too much for my budget. Regards, JD Smith

The jet assembly- primer as Cessna called it is a AN-4022-1 available from Spruce for $16.70.

Thanks, mine seems to be atomizing, we will see. I do admire your great bafels, and the Association.
