Narco AT-50/AT-50A

Post by Lee »

Hi ... any information on the difference between a Narco AT-50 and AT-50A? A quick scan of the internet did not help. I am more curious than anything else. I am pulling my AT-50 out and replacing it (I think) with an Appareo ESGi. I have the interior out of the airplane ('54B) and the instrument panel out in order to replace some instruments and install a copper bus bar and Klixon CBs per an article that appeared in our magazine a few years ago. The ESGi will make the airplane ADS-B compliant. I have to remove a Northstar M1 and will remove its antenna and install a GPS antenna in its place. In the Memphis area it will be hard to fly without being ADS-B compliant. Thanks ... R/Lee

The AT50A met TSO and had better switch materials. (But not much better...they were wafer-switches.)
