Aileron Cable rigging

Post by bagarre »

Can someone verify the sequence to the aileron cables at the triple pulley at the center of the rear carry thru spar?
I failed to take note before pulling it apart.

From the IPC, it looks like the cables are (Fore to Aft)

Right Aileron Cable
Left Aileron Cable
Carry Thru Cable

With the carry thru turn buckle terminating at the right aileron bell crank.

thanks

Sorry David back at work again so I can't check my plane but from memory I believe the carry through and turn barrel does hook up at the R/H aileron quadrant aft attach point. Come to think about it you wanted another picture on something. Everything has gone out the window for me as I just got my engine back from the shop and this past weekend was all about installing it.

Center pulley arrangement.
On my plane aft cable is the carry through and connects at the aft attachment point of the R/H O/B aileron quadrant via a turn barrel.
The next cable ( middle) goes to the L/H aileron the fwd goes to the R/H aileron. On my plane for some reason the fwd L/H cable comes quite close to the aft wing attach bolt, so much so I've installed the bolt with the nut fwd.
